El gato sin amigos postponed!

El gato sin amigos (The Nobody Likes Me Cat)

Due to the current circunstances regarding the coronovirus, THT has decided to postponed the performances of El gato sin amigos. We will reschedule it as soon as we can.

This children play is based on a short story by the Cuban writer Teresita Gómez Vallejo, adapted for theater by Joe Rosemberg. Our guess director Ben Gunter has given the play a contemporary and Floridian accent that make it a delighful experience for Spanish and non-Spanish speaking audiences. El gato sin amigos tells the story of Rufo, a lazy cat looking for friends to talk and play with, unfortunately they are not always available. In his effort to find friends, he’ll meet some Floridian animals: a manatee, an anhinga, and a Florida panther, who will show him that he can find a balance and enjoy a happy and productive life with many friends. This is an interactive play where children will be able to sing, learn words in different languages, and engage in Rufo’s adventure.
