THT is looking for actors for its new show, the children play “The Cat Who Had No Friends”, based on a short story by Teresita Gómez Vallejo, adapted for theater by Joe Rosenberg.
The show will be on March 27-29 at the Monticello Opera House.
Most rehearsals will take place in Tallahassee.
Actors:
Rufo: a lazy cat.
Narrator 1: narrates de story in English
Narrator 2: narrates de story in Spanish
Actor 1: plays a manatee and a panther
Actor 2: plays an anhinga and a panther
All the roles can be performed by actors of any gender or age.The play will be bilingual, narrated in English and Spanish.
This interactive play tells the story of a lazy cat looking for friends to talk and play with. He’ll meet some Floridian animals: a manatee, an anhinga, and a Florida panther, who will show him that he can find a balance and enjoy a happy and productive life with many friends.
The play is directed by Ben Gunter.
